Marching Into March 2021

Marching Into March 2021

It has been exactly a year since everything shut down due to COVID-19 and all festivals and events had to be cancelled in Llano and around the nation.  As cases declined and people are getting their vaccinations Llano is planning to hold many of their Spring Festivals this year .

Let Sandstone Street Bed and Breakfast be your headquarters as you tour and participate in all the Texas Hill Country has to offer this spring.

Saturday, March 6 and March 20: To kick off our March fun, the Farmers and Crafters Market will be held on the Courthouse Square from 8:00-noon. No charge for booth space just come to sell or buy. Visit with the locals and get to know Llano.

March 13 2:30: Billy Mata will star at the Llano Opry at the Lan-Tex Theater. This is always a fun afternoon of country music new and old. Billy Mata is a three-time AWA Western Swing Vocalist of the Year and winner of the Academy's Entertainer of the Year. He has over a quarter-century of making music with his own Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame band, The Texas Tradition.

If thrills and excitement are your thing then you don't want to miss this three-day rugged event. Fun for the entire family.

Saturday, March 20: Calling all artists. The Llano Fine Arts Guild will sponsor a Paint Out and Plein Air Workshop from 9:00-4:00. Contact the Guild for more information 325-247-4839

March 20, 21, 26,27, 28: The Llano Community Theater proudly presents "Almost, Maine". Tickets $10 at the door at the Lan-Tex Theater

Welcome to Almost, Maine, a place that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States. It’s almost in Canada. And it’s not quite a town, because its residents never got around to getting organized. So it almost doesn’t exist. One cold, clear, winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.

March 27: 8:00-noon City Junk in the Trunk Garage Sale on the Courthouse Square. No charge for booth. Come buy or sell and meet the locals.

Llano County is the Bluebonnet Capital of Texas and the lovely flowers will be coming into bloom in March and continue until May joining a plethora of other Texas wild flowers.

The weather is getting perfect for hiking and enjoying the out doors for picnics, fishing , rock hunting and kayaking. Llano is the perfect destination for your spring retreat get away.
