One cold, clear, winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.

January in Llano, Texas

We had a surprise snow day in Llano last Sunday. It was the first snow the town has seen in many years. While the weather remains a little chilly, there are many sunny days forecast ahead. January is a great time to visit Llano and the Texas Hill Country and stay at the award-winning Sandstone Street Bed and Breakfast. Make your reservations soon and enjoy the following events in Llano.

Hiking is very popular this time of year and Enchanted Rock is the most popular hiking park in the area. Located halfway between Llano and Fredericksburg is a fun outdoor activity the entire family can enjoy. If you plan to go there be sure to contact the park office for an appointment time. (830) 685-3636

Do you enjoy Farmer's Markets? You are in luck. The first and third Saturday each month Llano host an area wide Farmer's Market around the historic courthouse square. Here you will find home grown produce and homemade pastries, sauces, and more along with hand crafted items. This is a fun way to mingle with the locals and experience the friendliness of Llano citizens.

If live theater is your thing then you will delight in Llano Community Theater's current production of "Deer Camp the Musical". Four buddies are enjoying their annual deer hunting trip but this year is different. After 15 years of them coming home with nothing but a hangover, their wives have given them an ultimatum; bag a deer or your deer camp days are over. Only one hurdle stands in their way- none of them know how to hunt. Do they buy one? Steal one? Could they possibly try to...shoot one? With this wacky troop, it seems the only ones safe in the woods are the deer, but with song and dance, a bit of chance, and some audience interaction, their prayers are answered just as they run out of beer.
This 90 minute play will make you laugh your antlers off. Deer Camp runs January 23, 24, 29,30,31 at the historic Lan-tex Theater on the courthouse square. Tickets $15 at the door.

Is a wedding in your future this year? How about a wedding vow renewal, anniversary party or other special event? Sandstone Street Bed and Breakfast is a lovely venue for events up to 75 guests. We have a spacious event center complete with kitchen and bathroom as well as landscaped yard with gazebo and water fountains, rock patio and shade trees.
